Hawk Classic Cool 180° waterless coolant for classic cars (EVANS)

Classic Cool 180° is a waterless engine coolant by Hawk (formerly Evans), developed for classic car engines primarily fabricated from cast iron with carbon steel, copper and aluminium components. It is the coolant of choice for restoration and classic car specialists. It is the choice of manufacturers such as Eagle. Because it contains no water, it eliminates the problems caused by water-based coolants, increasing reliability and extending engine life:

• Operating range from −40 °C to +180 °C – boiling point above 180 °C eliminates the risk of overheating and boil-over
• Generates 75 % less vapour pressure than water-based coolants, significantly reducing strain on hoses, seals and gaskets
• Reduces cavitation erosion by 75 % compared with water-based coolants and eliminates oxidation corrosion
• Proven service life of more than 20 years and a million miles without the need for replacement
• Tested and certified as non-toxic by an EPA-approved laboratory; biodegradable and does not bio-accumulate

Not suitable for engines using thermo-syphon cooling systems.

Typical characteristics:

• Physical state: low viscosity synthetic liquid
• Boiling point: above 180 °C
• Freezing point: below −40 °C
• Colour: green, clear
• Odour: almost odourless
• Use: undiluted, never mix with water

Flush the cooling system with Hawk Prep Fluid before filling. Manufactured in accordance with certified ISO procedural standards; Hawk co-developed the ASTM waterless coolant standards with committee D15.22.
